Built for the “can I actually make that passage?” question.
BoatWaypoint is an independent planning utility for boat owners who need more than a generic tide table.
Decision-first, source-led
We start with public NOAA data that can materially change a passage plan: direct bridge air-gap observations, tide predictions and station metadata. The goal is not to reproduce a chartplotter. It is to make a few high-friction checks faster and clearer.
No manufactured certainty
A bridge can have no NOAA air-gap sensor. A tide prediction can use a datum that does not match a bridge reference. A movable bridge can have operating rules the sensor cannot know. BoatWaypoint keeps those limitations visible.
Independent
BoatWaypoint is not affiliated with NOAA, the U.S. Coast Guard, bridge owners or marinas. Source links are provided so critical information can be verified directly.
